Local Captures Stunning Lightning Strike Over Filfla

A photo shared by local weather Facebook page Maltese Islands Weather shows a stunning lightning strike taking place over the little island of Filfla off the coast of Malta.
The photo, snapped by Dwardu Photography, shows the moment a streak of lightning descended onto the little island, forming a majestic rift like shape across the sky.
This comes after Malta was heavily battered by thunder and hail, kicking off the month of December.
Many localities experienced heavy rainfall, but the weather is set to clear going into the weekend.
