Local animal rights activist Christa Cilia shared footage and photos of a dog she found and saved that required immediate medical aid.
The dog was found severely anemic and tested positive for Ehrlichia. Christa immediately took her to the vet for fluids and will now be receiving the care she needs.
In an update post, she showed the dog sleeping in what was likely her first comfortable sleep. The dog immediately garnered sympathy online, with many wondering how it is possible to treat animals in such a way.
