A video shared by user world_in_my_hands90 shows Toronto, Canada’s very own ‘Little Malta’, with a little bake shop giving Maltese in the country a taste of home.
The Little Malta is situated on Dundas St W, near Gilmour Ave, and has a little bake shop which opened back in 1919 for Maltese immigrants.
Going inside, one can find not only a Maltese atmosphere, with photos and newspapers from the Mediterranean island, but even delicious goods from the heart of Malta.
Walking around one can even find a Maltese-Canadian Auditorium and plaques explaining the links between the northern country and the Mediterranean island.
‘A reminder that home isn’t always a place, but a feeling - found in food, memories, and community’, wrote Steffi.
