Litter Of Stray Puppies & Mum Rescued From Marsa Sports Ground

The MSPCA has successfully rescued the last of six puppies from the Marsa sports ground, reuniting him with his mum and siblings.
‘What may look like an idyllic location is also a very dangerous one. In just a few months, these puppies could have easily have been swept away by the sewage canal running close to the area’, the MSPCA explained.
The team is now working on trapping the father, with Marsa remaining one of Malta’s main hotspots for uncontrolled breeding.
‘Rescue is important, but population control through spaying and neutering remains the only long-term solution for our island.’
