LifeCycle Malta Team Meets The President Of Malta Ahead Of The 2025 LifeCycle Challenge

The LifeCycle Malta team paid a visit to Her Excellency Dr Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, at the Palace of San Anton. The meeting marked an important milestone as the cyclists near the end of their training in preparation for this year’s LifeCycle Challenge.
The team will depart from Malta on 13 November, embarking on ten days of intensive cycling along a 2,000-kilometre route from Petra, Jordan, to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Accompanied by their support crew, this year’s challenge will see the LifeCycle Foundation visiting its 56th and 57th countries since the event began in 1999, all in aid of kidney patients in Malta and Gozo.
The President of Malta congratulated the participants on taking on such a demanding challenge and noted that over the past 25 years, the LifeCycle (Malta) Foundation has raised more than €4 million in support of this vital cause.
Alan Curry, Chairman of LifeCycle Malta, expressed his gratitude, “We are truly honoured by the President’s support. Her words of encouragement mean a great deal to us and to the many kidney patients who rely on our work.”
The LifeCycle (Malta) Foundation is the only NGO in Malta dedicated exclusively to kidney health. Funds raised go towards the Traccia software system, which matches kidney donors and recipients within the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital, as well as to patient support services, equipment purchases, and research funding in collaboration with the Research Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT) of the University of Malta.
The LifeCycle Challenge 2025 is proudly supported by its main sponsor NESCAFÉ, together with Hili Ventures, the Government of Malta Social Causes Fund, Smart Technologies Ltd, Brown’s Pharmacy, M&Z plc, Nuun Hydration, JPA, Laferla Insurance, Valletta Waterfront, Unicare, The Mimici Foundation, and The Web Ally.
