Launch Of ’Il Quddiem B’Dinjità’: Putting People Before Politics

The launch of ’Il Quddiem b’Dinjità last week at the Parliament of Malta and Alfa Gardens in Ħ’Attard marked a significant step in the national conversation on social justice. The publication highlights the lived realities of Malta’s most vulnerable people and calls for political leadership that places people and dignity above votes and doctrine.

PN MP Ivan Bartolo, the driving force behind the two-year project, stressed that the state must address social challenges by focusing on individuals rather than labelling them by their circumstances. The book explores the root causes of inequality, poverty, and social exclusion, revealing that behind every statistic is a human story.
The project engaged affected individuals, experts, and professionals to develop alternative approaches aimed at ensuring Malta supports those who have been left behind. Bartolo urged politicians to move beyond rhetoric and take action to rectify systemic injustices, noting that “the condition in which people live reflects the condition of the country itself.”

The publication also highlights the link between poverty, mental health, and quality of life, emphasising the government’s role in creating fairer opportunities for all. Copies of the book are available via 77480241.
