Local

A new political survey conducted by Vincent Marmara between 13 and 19 February 2026 suggests that the Labour Party would maintain a comfortable lead over the Nationalist Party if a general election were held tomorrow.

The survey shows that 46.8% of respondents said they would vote for Labour, while 38.2% said they would back the Nationalist Party. A further 3.2% opted for ADPD or other smaller parties, while 11.8% said they are still undecided.

When projections are made to account for undecided voters, Labour’s support rises to 52.8%, compared to 42.6% for the Nationalists, with 4.6% going to ADPD and other parties. Depending on how undecided voters ultimately choose, the gap between the two main parties is expected to fall between 9% and 11%.

In practical terms, this would translate into a lead of between 25,000 and 29,000 votes in favour of Labour.

Compared to the previous survey, Labour has slightly improved its position, registering a 0.8% increase. The Nationalist Party, on the other hand, dropped by 0.9%. Smaller parties, including ADPD and Arnold Cassola’s Momentum, recorded a modest combined increase of 0.4%.

Overall, the results point to a steady advantage for Labour, with the Nationalist Party still trailing and smaller parties making minor gains.
