Labour Wants School Sports Facilities Open After Hours So Public Can Stay Active For Free

The Labour Party has proposed opening more sports spaces to the public for free as part of its newly unveiled electoral manifesto ahead of the next general election on 30th May.
The proposal focuses on giving children, teenagers and young people easier access to places where they can exercise, play sports and stay active throughout the day.
Labour said it plans to regenerate existing sports pitches and build new ones so they can be used free of charge by the public. The party is also proposing that school sports facilities remain open after school hours so communities can make use of them during evenings and weekends.
The idea behind the proposal is to encourage a more active lifestyle while giving young people safe and accessible spaces to spend time, socialise and practise sports close to where they live.
The proposal forms part of a wider set of measures included in the Labour Party’s electoral manifesto, which was officially launched this evening.
