LABOUR PARTY PROPOSES TRAINING PROGRAMMES TO HELP NGOS GET EU FUNDING

The Labour Party has announced further proposals aimed at strengthening Malta’s voluntary sector if re-elected, with a particular focus on improving access to EU funding for NGOs.
Central to the plan is the introduction of training programmes designed to help voluntary organisations develop the skills needed to apply successfully for EU funds.
These programmes would aim to build capacity within the sector, ensuring NGOs are better equipped to navigate complex application processes.
Labour also pledged financial support to assist organisations with the costs linked to preparing and managing EU-funded projects.
This would include help with application expenses as well as ongoing project management costs, reducing the financial burden on smaller organisations and encouraging wider participation in EU funding schemes.
