labour party : “If Alex Borg has evidence, he must hand it over to investigators immediately”

The Labour Party has called on Opposition Leader Alex Borg to immediately hand over any evidence or information he claims to have to investigators.

In a statement issued by the party’s Communications Office, Labour said Borg had once again defended comments he made during a protest held following Wednesday evening’s verdict, when he pointed towards Castille and made allegations.

The PL argued that several hours have since passed without Borg taking further action.

“If the Opposition Leader continues to insist on this statement, he should immediately pass any evidence or information in his possession to investigators so that it can be investigated and justice can be served,” the party said.

Labour added that such a serious situation should not be used for what it described as politically convenient allegations.

The party went further, claiming that if Borg fails to provide investigators with any evidence he says he has, he would be “obstructing justice.”
