Labour Party Headquarters Lights Up For Pride

The Labour Party headquarters was illuminated in rainbow colours this weekend to mark Malta Pride 2025, sending a message of solidarity with the LGBTIQ+ community.
In a statement, the Labour Party highlighted Malta’s progress in civil rights, noting that the country now ranks at the top for LGBTIQ+ protections thanks to a series of reforms introduced under Labour governments.
“Malta has made a radical change in civil rights, to the extent that our country is at the top when it comes to rights for LGBTIQ+ people, thanks to the reforms carried out by a Labour Government. Malta’s journey remains a testimony of hope and courage: proof that with determined leadership and social activism, a country can change and improve the quality of life of its people.”
The lighting of the headquarters formed part of a wider celebration of Pride across Malta, including the annual Pride March in Valletta, which drew thousands of participants. The Labour Party reiterated its commitment to continue working with the LGBTIQ+ community to strengthen equality, dignity, and social justice.
