Connecting Through Culture, the Ta’ Xbiex Local Council’s flagship event, is back and celebrating a major milestone with its 10th edition tomorrow, 27th June from 6pm onwards at the Ta' Xbiex promenade. Home to a whole host of foreign embassies, Ta’ Xbiex is proudly known as the Diplomatic Capital of Malta.

This landmark celebration is all about connecting different cultures in one vibrant event, promoting global diversity while simultaneously shining a spotlight on Maltese culture through local artisan stalls and talented local performers, who will be joined on stage by incredible international talent. At least fourteen embassies have confirmed their participation and more surprises are to follow.

Get ready to be mesmerized by an exciting, multicultural lineup taking to the stage on the night.

The festival stage will come alive with a rich tapestry of traditional and contemporary cultural performances from Malta, Italy, Spain, Greece, Palestine, India, Serbia, Ghana, China, Poland, Mexico and more.

Whilst countries such as Germany, The Netherlands, Ireland and France will be providing a stand together with the rest of the participation counties in programme which goes beyond stage performances.

The Ta' Xbiex promenade will be buzzing with interactive street performances, unique cultural showcases and other surprises.

The entertainment and artistic curation are also further supported by a collective of vibrant local creative outlets.

Set against the backdrop of the gorgeous, characteristic Ta’ Xbiex Seafront with amazing views of Valletta, this year’s festival brings the world to Malta. Visitors can explore various international culinary stalls offering an exquisite selection of food and exhibitions from all over the world.

This global showcase is made possible with the proud participation and support of several diplomatic missions in Malta. Expect different bands, dancers, singers and exhibitors from all over the world highlighting the true spirit of international unity.

This event is organised by the Ta’ Xbiex Local Council and is proudly supported by the Division for Local Government, the Community Support Scheme, the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector, the Ministry for Local Government and Public Works and the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector.
