KM Malta Airlines has unveiled a new direct route linking Malta with the Spanish city of Málaga, expanding its Summer 2026 schedule with another sought after Mediterranean destination.

The service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, with flights commencing on 27 May 2026.

The route will connect Malta International Airport with Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, offering convenient travel options for both leisure and short breaks.

Wednesday departures from Malta are scheduled for the afternoon, with return flights in the early evening, while Sunday services will operate in the morning in both directions.

Málaga, situated along Spain’s renowned Costa del Sol, is known for its blend of seaside charm and rich cultural heritage.

Visitors can explore its historic centre, visit the Picasso Museum, and discover landmarks such as the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle.

The city is also celebrated for its vibrant culinary scene, featuring fresh seafood, traditional tapas and regional wines. In addition, it serves as a gateway to popular destinations across southern Spain, including Marbella, Nerja, Ronda and the picturesque inland villages of Andalusia.

The introduction of this route forms part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity across Europe and the Mediterranean.
