KM Malta Airlines Celebrates Inaugural Flight To Málaga

KM Malta Airlines has celebrated the launch of its new direct service between Malta and Málaga, with the inaugural flight operating on Wednesday 27 May 2026.

The occasion was marked by a welcome event organised at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, highlighting the arrival and departure of the airline’s first scheduled service linking the two Mediterranean destinations.

Malta International Airport also welcomed passengers on the inaugural Málaga to Malta flight, marking another step in improving connectivity between Malta and southern Spain.

The new route operates twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, offering passengers convenient direct travel between Malta International Airport and Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport.

Situated on Spain’s Costa del Sol, Málaga is a vibrant destination known for its blend of Mediterranean coastline and Andalusian culture.

Visitors can explore the historic city centre, the Picasso Museum, and landmarks such as the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle. The city also offers a lively food scene with tapas, seafood, and regional wines, while serving as a gateway to destinations including Marbella, Nerja, and Ronda.

The addition of Málaga strengthens KM Malta Airlines’ Summer 2026 network and enhances travel options across Europe and the Mediterranean.
