Kirkop to Host ‘Klaus Percopu's Village’ on 29th and 30th November

For the very first time, Ħal Kirkop is gearing up to welcome The Klaus Percopu’s Village, the revamped version of the well-known GIGANTIC event. This year’s edition is all about celebrating tradition, paying tribute to Kirkop’s roots while mixing in modern creativity and flair.
Happening on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November, the village will feature around 55 stands showcasing local goods, handcrafted items, traditional treats, and community-driven projects. The initiative is being brought to life with the support of Ħal Kirkop’s feast associations, whose involvement is central to preserving and highlighting the locality’s cultural and devotional heritage.
A special educational booklet for children has also been published and is being distributed for free, appealing to all ages throughout the event.
The name Klaus Percopu takes inspiration from one of the earliest forms of the name “Kirkop,” serving as a nod to the locality’s history while embracing its evolving identity. The Village aims to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where visitors can immerse themselves in art, culture, local flavours, and the unique festive feeling that makes this Maltese community so special.
