“Keep Shining A Light:” Roberta Metsola’s Powerful Pink October Message

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has called for greater breast cancer awareness as she encouraged people to prioritise regular check-ups and support those affected by the disease.

In a message shared on social media, Metsola highlighted how breast cancer affects countless people, with many still fighting or in remission.

“This matters to all of us,” she wrote, stressing that almost everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.

Metsola ended her post with a message of hope, encouraging the public to continue raising awareness about the importance of early detection.

“Get checked. Because the earlier it is detected, the better the chances of beating it,” she said.

Pink October, observed every October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aims to spotlight the realities of living with, and surviving breast cancer by encouraging regular screenings.
