Just 24 Hors Left For All'Antico Vinaio's Grand Opening

With just 24 hours to go, anticipation is reaching a peak for the official opening of All’Antico Vinaio in Valletta, marking the long-awaited arrival of the world-famous sandwich brand in Malta.

The Florentine icon is set to open its doors on Republic Street this Saturday at 12pm, becoming the brand’s first Maltese location and its 56th worldwide.

Known globally for its generously filled schiacciata sandwiches, the new outlet is already generating buzz among locals and tourists eager to get a taste.

A recently released sneak peek of the restaurant’s interior has only added to the excitement, offering a glimpse of what customers can expect when the doors finally open.

The preview has helped build momentum in the final countdown, with many already planning their first visit.

Founded in Florence in 1991, All’Antico Vinaio has grown into one of the most celebrated street food brands in the world, with successful locations in cities like New York, London and Paris.

Its debut in Valletta is widely seen as a major addition to the capital’s ever-evolving food scene.

Founder and CEO Tommaso Mazzanti has described the opening as another key step in the brand’s international expansion, while local franchisee Director Victor Borg highlighted Republic Street as the ideal location to introduce the concept to Malta.

The Valletta outlet promises to stay true to its roots, serving freshly prepared schiacciata using high-quality ingredients imported from Italy.

At the same time, it will offer Malta-exclusive variations inspired by local flavours, giving customers something unique alongside classic favourites like the renowned “La Favolosa.”

Following the grand opening on April 25th, the shop will operate daily from 10:00 to 22:00 starting the next day, just in time for what is expected to be a busy first weekend.
