Julia Cluett Wraps Up Miss Universe Experience Following Historic Placement

Malta’s @juliacluett impressed on the global stage, placing in the Top 12 during the grand finale of the 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, which saw Mexico take the top prize.
Cluett was announced among the top 12 on the final night, joining some of the world’s finest contestants, including those from Côte d’Ivoire, Mexico, Venezuela, the Philippines, and Thailand, who made it to the Top 5.
Ultimately, Fatima Bosch of Mexico emerged victorious. Bosch had become a fan favourite following a dramatic incident in which she was berated by a pageant director, prompting a walkout by another contestant.
Although the official prize money for the winner has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to be around $250,000, along with a monthly stipend of $50,000 to cover travel, appearances, and other brand-related commitments.
Reflecting on her experience in a heartfelt social media post, Cluett wrote, “Hello from your Miss Universe Europe & Middle East. Honestly, I can’t yet wrap my head around this. I am over the moon. I was already so content with just having participated due to the amount of support from the Maltese community, pageant fans, and bloggers – that was enough for me. Then I made it to the Top 12 and last night I won the most prestigious title for Europe!!!!”
Cluett also took a moment to express her heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported her on this journey.
Cluett concluded saying she cannot wait to begin her adventure as Miss Universe Europe & Middle East, alongside her continental sisters.
