Julia Ann Cluett Opens Up on Loss Of Her Father And Mental Health

Julia Ann Cluett opened up about the mental health struggles that came with losing her father when she was just 7 years old.

As part of the “Beyond The Crown Project,” which seeks to show that Miss Universe is not just a beauty pageant, but also “a platform for change,” Julia got to raise awareness about the silent mental battles often faced by children.

In a recent video shared on the @miss_universe_malta Instagram, Julia shared her experience as a mental health first aid instructor.

“I help people recognise the signs in themselves and in others, so they can get support early before a struggle becomes a crisis,” said Julia.

Accompanied with the video, miss universe malta wrote a heartfelt caption, stating that “You never know what someone is going through, so choose kindness over judgement, always. Start the conversation. Offer a helping hand. You can make all the difference.”

“Together we can break the stigma,” concluded Julia, “Together we can change lives.”
