Jordan Galea Pace’s Mum Shares Kind Words About Her Son Following Interaction With Bottle Collector

Following the widespread reaction to Jordan Galea Pace's decision not to report a bottle collector to the police, his mother has shared a heartfelt message defending her son's actions and character.

“Seeing all the beautiful comments on social media about my son has reminded me of how I've always known him growing up: kind-hearted and always empathetic towards others,” she wrote.

She recalled how, as a student, Galea Pace received an Altruistic Award for standing up to bullies who were targeting a vulnerable classmate, despite losing friends as a result.

Referring to the recent controversy, she said her son's decision was guided by principle rather than popularity.

She also revealed that he recently spent 30 minutes on the phone with a resident who disagreed with his stance, telling them: “If you don't want to vote for me, that's okay. My conscience is clear, but please vote for my colleagues.”

“It takes courage to stand by your principles,” she added. “That is why I will always be proud to be your mother.”
