Jake Vella’s Mum Opens Up About Journey Battling Breast Cancer

In a post shared to Puttinu Cares, Marouska Vella, the mother of the late Jake Vella, detailed her journey battling breast cancer and how she emerged more resilient than ever.

She recounted how she was diagnosed in 2020, undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and 18 months of treatment.

‘At the same time, I had my son JAKE VELLA who lived with a very rare condition, and yet I always tried to stay positive for him, for my husband Josie Vella, my family and myself’, she continued.

‘It was one of the hardest battles of my life, but today I can say I am a survivor. To anyone going through this right now don’t loose hope. You are stronger than you think.’

She encouraged anyone reading the post to take care of oneself and check regularly. ‘ I never imagined I would face breast cancer but early detection can save lives.’
