“Iż-Żunżana Ddur Iddur” Family Event Hosted at Mqabba Sqaure

Families gathered in large numbers at Mqabba Square on Saturday for “Iż-Żunżana Ddur Iddur”, a community event organised by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Public Works in collaboration with the Mqabba Local Council.

The free activity attracted dozens of families, with children enjoying a range of entertainment zones including bouncy castles, educational games and live performances by magicians.

The event also featured musical entertainment for all ages, with performances by Fabrizio Faniello, Glen Vella and Big Friends Guggen Musik Malta, who brought energy to the square with lively renditions of popular songs.

The occasion also marked the official reopening of Mqabba Square following extensive refurbishment works by the Public Works Department, which included upgrades to the paving and underlying structure to create a safer public space.

Parliamentary Secretary Omar Farrugia said such initiatives help bring communities together, while Mayor Grace Marie Zerafa welcomed both the renovation works and the event, which she said filled the square with joy and celebration.
