Minister for Home Affairs and Security Glenn Bedingfield has called for increased enforcement against cannabis smoking in public spaces, saying the practice is bothering people.

In a social media post, Bedingfield said that public cannabis smoking was illegal and called for authorities to take greater action against those breaking the law.

“Smoking cannabis in public bothers people. I want to see more enforcement because smoking in public is illegal,” he wrote.
