‘It’s Been A Year Of Challenges & Sacrifice’: Alex Borg Reflects On Leadership Role

‘It’s been a year of difficult challenges, sacrifices and decisions, but it’s also been a year in which I met thousands of Maltese and Gozitan people who shared with me their hopes, thoughts and dreams’, wrote Alex Borg.

Reflecting on his role as leader of the Nationalist Party, Borg said that every day with this responsibility reminds him that leadership is not a privilege, but a vow of service.

‘A vow to listen. To work. To keep fighting for what I believe in, even when the path is difficult. Thank you to my family, my friends in the party and everyone who believed in me and kept walking with us.’

‘Thank you to those who criticised me as well, because they helped me grow and become a better leader.’

‘There’s still a lot more to be done. But today, more than ever, I believe in the strength of the Nationalist Party and the future of the country.’
