Isle Of MTV Delivers Biggest Fosos Show Ever

Katy Perry made her Malta debut at Isle of MTV Malta 2026, bringing her European summer tour to Il-Fosos Square for a headline performance alongside international DJ AFROJACK and Maltese singer AIDAN.

The 18th edition of Isle of MTV Malta, staged by MTV in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, featured a night of live performances as the festival continued its position as one of Europe's biggest free summer music events. The show will premiere across MTV's international networks on 18 September 2026.

Katy Perry performed a selection of her biggest hits from across her career, as well as her latest single Watch It Burn. Opening with California Gurls, the global pop star delivered a performance featuring elaborate costumes, choreography and visual effects.

She also wore the original outfit from a 2009 MTV VMA promotional campaign, which will later be donated to support her Firework Foundation through Fandiem.

The singer also shared a more personal moment during an acoustic performance of Roar, speaking about losing and rediscovering her confidence while delivering a message about kindness and perseverance.

AFROJACK closed the festival with a high-energy electronic set featuring large-scale visuals, pyrotechnics and dance music favourites. Earlier in the evening, AIDAN performed a selection of his biggest songs alongside tracks from his latest album Cowboys Don't Cry.

The festival also featured performances from Maltese artists and DJs including Jamie Cardona and Mychael Bartolo Chircop. Isle of MTV Malta Music Week continues with events across the island from 22 to 26 July.
