Halloween is here, but how many people in Malta actually celebrate it?

With spooky decorations popping up, costume parties being organised and Halloween-themed events taking over the island, Malta Daily asked its followers a simple question: Do you celebrate Halloween?

And it turns out that the majority are getting into the spooky spirit!

Is Malta Slowly Becoming More Obsessed With Halloween?

Out of 420 respondents, 248 people (59%) said YES, confirming that they celebrate Halloween in one way or another.

Meanwhile, 172 people (41%) voted NO, suggesting that not everyone is interested in joining the celebrations.

Although Halloween has traditionally been associated with countries like the United States, the celebration has become increasingly visible in Malta over the years.

From trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving to haunted houses, themed parties and fancy-dress events, there are now plenty of ways to celebrate.

For some, it's the perfect excuse to dress up, go out with friends or enjoy a horror movie marathon at home.

Others simply see it as another commercialised occasion, while some prefer to stick to Malta's more traditional celebrations around this time of year, including All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

Interestingly, despite the majority voting in favour of Halloween, the results show that a significant proportion of respondents still choose not to celebrate it.

Of course, the poll reflects the opinions of Malta Daily followers who participated and is not necessarily representative of the entire Maltese population.
