Irregular Immigrant Repatriated To Country Of Origin At The Start Of 2026

The Malta Police Force specialised in Immigration returned an irregular immigrant back to North Africa, his country of origin.
The man was taken to court back in 2025 on charges of stealing and drug possession, amongst others. He was found guilty and handed a 2 year prison sentence, suspended for 4 years.
Following the sentence, he was ordered to return to his country of origin and was held in a detention centre until the necessary arrangements were made.
