European Parliament President Roberta Metsola Meets Inter Milan Via Video Call

During their UEFA Champions League trip, an Inter Milan delegation, led by President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta, was warmly welcomed to the European Parliament in Brussels by Inter Club Europa Brussels and met with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola via video call.

The delegation had the honor of meeting European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, who personally greeted the group.

Secretary General Alessandro Chiocchetti also joined the meeting remotely from Strasbourg.

Inter tonight will face Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Champions League, following the Brussels-based club’s first Belgian League title in over 70 years. While the European Parliament’s Plenary Session is convened in Strasbourg, Inter FC’s top officials visited the European Parliament in Brussels and were welcomed via video call by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

Taking the opportunity, the Maltese MEP gave a special shout-out to Malta’s own rising star, Hailey Bugeja. A spokesperson for President Metsola told Malta Daily, “As a woman who grew up in Malta, I’ve been following your women’s team and the incredible rise of young Hailey Bugeja. I know she will achieve great things. Thank you for believing in another young Maltese girl, and in the next generation of European talent.”
