Injured Kestrel Retrieved From Rabat Outskirts With Wounds
Local
An injured kestrel was retrieved from the outskirts of Rabat with wounds and unable to fly.
The bird was swiftly handed over by the Malta Ranger Unit to BirdLife Malta to have its injuries established.
The ranger unit once again called on the Environment Ministry to speak up about ‘the challenges that migratory birds face when flying over Malta.’
‘This autumn there has been silence from the decision-makers. Why? What are they scared of? Protecting the migratory birds and nature? This is their job.’
