Industrial Fire Breaks Out In Burmarrad

An industrial fire broke out in Burmarrad this morning, prompting a large-scale response from the Civil Protection Department.

Firefighters from Stations 1, 3, and 11 were deployed to the scene, working tirelessly for five hours to contain the blaze.

A total of 20 firefighters and 8 fire appliances were mobilised, using approximately 70,000 litres of water to extinguish the flames.

Despite the scale of the incident, no injuries were reported.

The Civil Protection Department expressed gratitude to The Malta Police Force and the Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department for their ongoing support and collaboration throughout the operation.

Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the fire, but praised the coordinated response that ensured the situation was safely brought under control.
