In Photos: What Will the New Qormi Outdoor Sports & Fitness Park Look Like?

A new outdoor sports and fitness park spanning 1,000 square metres will soon be developed in Qormi San Bastjan as part of a €400,000 investment aimed at improving community wellbeing and promoting healthier lifestyles.

The project, named the Qormi Outdoor Sports & Fitness Park, was announced by Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, who said works on the site are expected to begin shortly.

The park will include modern outdoor gym facilities, basketball courts, open public spaces and relaxation areas designed to encourage physical activity and social interaction among residents.

Minister Schembri said the government believes economic growth should translate into direct investment that improves people’s quality of life within their local communities.

Parliamentary Secretary for Social Accommodation and Social Dialogue Andy Ellul described the project as an important initiative for family wellbeing and community development.

He added that accessible public spaces close to residential areas play a key role in improving everyday life and strengthening social connections within the community.
