IN PHOTOS: NADUR CARNIVAL 2026 OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF IN GOZO

On Sunday afternoon, Nadur’s main square in Gozo was buzzing with excitement as crowds gathered to celebrate the start of the annual carnival. The event showcased a vibrant programme highlighting artistic expression and local cultural traditions.
The celebrations featured performances by both children and adult dancers, live band music, singing, masked entertainers, colourful floats, playful banter, and a lively carnival atmosphere. Visitors enjoyed a mix of organised shows and spontaneous carnival fun, creating an unforgettable experience.
The festivities will continue throughout the week, culminating in the highly anticipated Nadur Spontaneous Carnival from 13–15 February. Famous for its unfiltered energy, bold costumes, satirical sketches, and improvised floats, the carnival draws thousands of locals and tourists each year.
Organised by Malta Daily in collaboration with G7 Events, Nadur Carnival is considered one of the most distinctive celebrations in the Maltese islands. Attendees can expect energetic DJs, daring performances, and a colourful display of creativity and controlled chaos across the streets of Nadur.
