As Malta headed to the polls yesterday, the Malta Police Force was working tirelessly to ensure the safety, security and smooth running of the election process.
Preparations began weeks in advance, the force explained, involving detailed planning, the assignment of personnel and the secure distribution of voting documents.
The officers were deployed across all polling stations in Malta and Gozo, the Operations and Control Room, and the Naxxar Counting Hall.
Day to day operations were maintained during these duties as well, responding to emergencies, conducting patrols and serving the community.
