Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced that this week the first flyover of the Imsida Creek project will be officially opened.

Speaking in an interview with Jean Paul Mifsud ahead of the Labour Party’s fundraising marathon, Abela highlighted the project as a key part of the government’s ongoing infrastructure work.

The Prime Minister explained that the new flyover will significantly improve traffic flow in the Imsida area, easing congestion and creating a smoother commute for drivers.

Abela placed the Imsida Creek project in the context of other major infrastructure initiatives, including works in Kappara, Ħal Luqa, and the Central Link, all of which the government successfully completed.

Infrastructure Malta announced that from 18th December, new routes will open in Msida, including direct access from Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli to Triq Marina, upgraded lanes on Triq il-Wied tal-Msida, and route changes to Triq D’Argens and Triq Clarence.

The Prime Minister said these developments demonstrate the government’s commitment to modernising Malta’s road network while addressing long-standing traffic challenges for the public.
