Iconic Piggy Banks Return: Maltese Schools To Participate In Infamous L-Istrina Fundraiser

For the 23rd consecutive year, students from schools across Malta and Gozo will be taking part in the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign 2026.

The annual fundraiser brings together students and schools with one common goal: helping people who are going through tough times.

Throughout the initiative, students collect small donations in cute Piggy Banks, which are later donated to L-Istrina. Year after year, the campaign continues to encourage generosity among younger generations, with schools across the islands coming together in a simple but meaningful act of solidarity.
