Ian Borg welcomed the first passengers onboard the first ever Delta flight from New York to land in Malta.
When the flight was a few minutes away from touchdown, Borg showed satisfaction for managing to open the American market for Malta, an objective he had during his year and few months in charge of tourism.
Borg thanked the MTA and MIA for making this historic moment possible, a landing which marks the launch of a new direct connection between Malta and the United States.
