Minister for Health and Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg has been awarded the Global Leadership Award from the World Travel & Tourism Award.
Borg described the reception of the award as a proud moment for him and the country, and an honour he shares with all those who work to keep Malta an excellent destination for whoever visits.
Borg had served as Minister of Tourism as well as Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2024, before he was assigned in his role of Minister for Health. The tourism portfolio was then handed over to Jo Etienne Abela, who was in attendance and congratulated Borg for the achievement.
