Ian Borg Gifted Signed Ħamrun Spartans Kit After Europa Conference League Success

Minister for Tourism and Foreign Affairs Ian Borg was presented with a signed Ħamrun Spartans football kit as a token appreciation for his support during their Europa Conference League bout.

Ħamrun Spartans made history last year as the first Maltese club to qualify for the group stages of a European competition.

VisitMalta sponsored all Maltese teams playing at the European level, with Ħamrun Spartans being among the teams sporting the VisitMalta logo on their kits.

The Spartans managed to seal their place in the UEFA Europa Conference League after a 2-2 draw away to Latvian RFS, winning the tie 3-2 on aggregate.

They also wet on to become the first Maltese club to win a match int the league phase of a European club competition after beating Lincoln Red Imps 3-1 in November.
