“I Wrote My Speech In Maltese But Can’t Use It”: MEP Peter Agius

Speaking at the European Parliament, PN MEP Peter Agius, ahead of his Gaza related speech, said that he wrote his address in Maltese but he still cannot use it.

Acknowledging the efforts being currently undertaken to change the situation, he appealed for the European Parliament and the relevant authorities to push more so that Maltese could be properly used in such addresses.

In his speech, and in a similar vein calling for more action, said that something needs to be done about the atrocities taking place in Gaza and Palestine.

He said that an Israeli minister has openly said that Gaza will become a real estate bonanza given the levelling of buildings and the ongoing genocide.

Condemning the acts of Hamas, he said that this should not give the right to Israel to treat all Palestinians as terrorists.

He asked the Parliament to stop repeating the ‘three monkeys’ saying of ‘not seeing, not listening, not speaking’, and urged for urgent action.
