‘I am astonished how each year this photo becomes relevant.’ The photo has local comedian and influencer James Ryder dressed as a saint holding a light bulb.
Resting his arm on a broken fridge and a fan acting as his halo, the photo is a satirisation of Malta’s power outages in summer.
The photo also comes with an iconic prayer:
O kbir San Ixegħlu,
Qaddis Patrun tal-ħsarat,
Idħol għalija u żomm idejk fuqi,
għax dal-ġelat m'għadux friżat.
Isma' talbi San Ixegħlu,
protettur tal-ġeneratur,
