“I Am Not Here For Blue Or Red. I Am Here For Malta And For Gozo,” Says Alex Borg

Opposition Leader Alex Borg has said a “wind of change” is beginning from Gozo, as he pledged to rebuild trust in Maltese politics and deliver a renewed vision for the island.

Speaking during a “Qrib Tagħkom” activity in Victoria, Gozo, Borg said more people are turning towards the Nationalist Party as they begin to see fresh hope.

He also issued an apology to those who felt let down by the Party in the past, insisting the time had come for a new chapter.

The opposition leader said he would respond to “attacks and intimidation” with greater commitment and closer engagement with the public.

He outlined plans for a Nationalist government, including a new hospital, improved ferry connectivity, modern port infrastructure and stronger economic opportunities for Gozitans.

He accused the Labour administration, led by Robert Abela, of failing to deliver on key promises for Gozo, arguing that many projects remain unfulfilled since 2022.

The PN leader also highlighted potential investment opportunities, including discussions with Google, while stressing his vision of quality jobs and sustainable growth for both Malta and Gozo.
