Hundreds Join L-Istrina Palace Run To Support Malta Community Chest Fund

Around 800 people took part in the second edition of The 10km L-Istrina Palace Run this morning, raising funds for The Malta Community Chest Fund.

This year’s event connected San Anton Palace with the Presidential Palace in Valletta, attracting participants of all ages, from children to senior citizens, including both competitive athletes and recreational runners.

The fastest runners completed the 10-kilometre course in just over 30 minutes. At the finish line, all participants received a commemorative medal, while the top three finishers in each category were presented with a commemorative image of the Presidential Palace by the President of Malta, Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono.

Addressing those present, the President thanked participants for their support and highlighted the importance of the donations raised through the event.

She noted that demand for assistance continues to grow, with the Malta Community Chest Fund providing not only financial aid but also vital social and psychological support.
