Housing Ministry Vows To Support Victims Of Apartment Fire After Viral Post

After a post went viral on social media, Stephen Vassallo said that he was personally contacted by the Ministry for Housing to offer support.

‘Following the overwhelming response, I was contacted by the Ministry for Housing, who have promised to explore how they can help us return safely to our homes’, explained the psychotherapist, whose post urged support in times of such trauma and crisis.

‘Thank you to everyone who shared, reached out and helped make our voices heard’, said Vassallo.

In his previous post, he had lamented how they had not been contacted to check on their status or to be offered assistance.

‘Sometimes, the greatest form of emergency response isn't another machine, another report or another investigation. Sometimes, it’s simply remembering to care’, he had concluded.
