Hot & Sunny Weekend Ahead: Temperatures To Feel Like 42°C

A hot and sunny weekend is expected across Malta and Gozo, with settled weather forecast to continue throughout the next few days.
Light winds are expected on Friday and Sunday, while a light to moderate northwesterly breeze is forecast for Saturday.
Although no heatwave is currently expected, an orange heat advisory remains in force.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach up to 5°C above the seasonal average maximum of 32°C.
The "feels like" temperature could be between 2°C and 4°C higher than the actual air temperature because of humidity and prolonged sunshine.
Overnight temperatures are also expected to remain unusually warm, ranging between 26°C and 27°C.
Sea temperatures currently stand at around 29°C, which is warmer than is typically recorded during August. Those planning to head to the beach can expect generally favourable conditions.
Friday and Sunday should offer calm seas at most beaches across Malta and Gozo. On Saturday, however, the northwesterly wind may make eastern and southern bays the better choice for swimming.
Beachgoers are advised to check the warning flags and follow any instructions issued by lifeguards before entering the water.
Overall, the weekend is expected to bring plenty of sunshine, hot temperatures and excellent conditions for enjoying the sea.
