Hospice Malta Raise Over €500,000 In Yearly Telethon

Hospice Malta, an organisation dedicated to offering end-of-life care to patients, raised €557,863 during yesterday’s telethon which lasted 12 hours.
The fundraised was broadcasted on all local stations and brought together volunteers, healthcare workers, sponsors, artists, and patients, along with their families, uniting everyone for a good cause.
All the money raised will go to improving palliative care in Malta, expanding it with more therapy services.
Additionally, it will be used to further develop St Michael Hospice, including a 16-bed in patient unit designed to provide constant care to patients in a comfortable and serene environment.
“We are truly grateful to everyone who supported this year’s telethon,” shared Hospice Chairperson Bernardette Bonnici Kind, “Your generosity helps us continue providing professional, compassionate, palliative care free of charge to patients and families.”
In 2025, Hospice delivered 33,000 home professional sessions and over 4,000 social and psychosocial sessions, while more than 400 patients attended its Day Therapy Unit and clinics.
