Hit West End Musical ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ Opens this Saturday

One of the West End’s most celebrated musicals is making its Maltese debut!

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will take to the stage at Sir Temi Zammit Hall in Msida on 31st October, bringing a story of self-expression, courage and acceptance to local audiences.

Produced by Revamp MT, the musical follows Jamie New, a 16-year-old from Sheffield who dreams of becoming a drag queen despite facing judgement and challenges along the way.

Inspired by the true story of Jamie Campbell, the production combines catchy songs, comedy and emotional moments while exploring identity, family relationships and the importance of being yourself.

The Maltese production will feature local drag artists Chucky Bartolo and Tristan Zammit, alongside UK performer Lewis Mullan.

Raphael Pace will take on the lead role of Jamie, joined by a talented cast including Leontine, Alan Paris, Maria Buckle, Alexia Manduca, Jake Curti and Claudette Pace.

Directed by Dorothy Bezzina, with musical direction by Edward Mifsud, the show follows Revamp MT’s successful productions of School of Rock and Amélie.

The musical was also adapted into a film in 2021, introducing Jamie's inspiring story to an even wider international audience.

Show dates: 31st October, 1st, 6th, 7th and 8th November, with evening and afternoon performances.

The production is recommended for audiences aged 12 and over.
