Hit & Run In Marsa As 41 Year Old Man Grievously Injured By Car

Yesterday, at around 2200hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Diċembru Tlettax, il-Marsa, due to a person having suffered injuries.
Police convened immediately on site and found that a 41 year old Bangladeshi man resident of Marsa had been hit by a car, with the driver fleeing the site.
The man was given preliminary medical aid and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.
Meanwhile, the search for the vehicle started immediately, with investigations leading to its identification.
The vehicle, a BMW, was found parked in Wied il-Għajn, with the driver, a 41 year old man resident of Ħaż-Żabbar getting arrested on site. Investigations are still ongoing.
