Hiker Rescued After Fall At Qarraba Bay

Civil Protection Malta (CPD) responders from Fire Station 3 were called into action after a hiker suffered a fall at the remote Qarraba Bay, requiring urgent medical assistance.
Given the challenging location, the CPD requested aerial support from the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM).
An AFM helicopter was dispatched to assist with the rescue, and the team worked together to safely airlift the casualty from the bay.
The injured hiker was successfully transferred to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
