Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg has confirmed that Malta is providing ongoing humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.

This year, Malta has sent 16,000 kg of flour to Gaza through the UN World Central Kitchen, evacuated four seriously ill Palestinian children to receive urgent medical care, and donated €70,000 to UNICEF to support civilians in need. Additional funds are planned in the coming weeks, focusing on essential aid and support for UNRWA.

The Government will also fund scholarships for Palestinian students and diplomats in Malta, highlighting its commitment to education and long-term support.

Deputy Prime Minister Borg reaffirmed Malta’s dedication to peace in Gaza, stressing the need for unimpeded humanitarian assistance for civilians.
