Here's What Will Change In Malta From Sunday

Malta is set for a noticeable shift in its daily routine as clocks go back one hour this Sunday, 25th October. While many will welcome an extra hour of sleep, the change will affect daylight, sleeping patterns and evening activities.
Here's what you can expect.
1. It Will Get Dark Much Earlier
Sunset in Valletta will shift from around 6:15pm on Saturday to 5:14pm on Sunday. Those finishing work at 5pm will have considerably less daylight for outdoor activities.
2. Mornings Will Become Brighter
Sunrise will move from approximately 7:16am on Saturday to 6:17am on Sunday, bringing earlier daylight for commuters, students and early risers.
3. Your Sleeping Pattern Might Change
Although we gain an hour, the time change can temporarily disrupt our body clocks. Keeping a consistent sleeping routine and getting morning sunlight can help.
4. After-Work Activities Will Feel Different
Evening walks, outdoor workouts and meet-ups may need to start earlier, as daylight will fade sooner.
5. The Days Will Continue Getting Shorter
The clock change shifts daylight rather than reducing it. However, days will keep shortening as winter approaches. By early December, sunset in Valletta will occur before 5pm, with the winter solstice falling on 21st December. After that, daylight will gradually increase again.
So, are you looking forward to brighter mornings, or will you miss those longer evenings?
